Gneo: To Do Task List and Calendar Manager App Reviews

140 add

Will they ever update and fix its shortcomings ?

Its a great and easy way to organize tasks, and supposedly syncs with the best note app evernote as well as your calendar... The dream addition would be a desktop version, for much of my planning happens there... But, it doesnt sync, gets stuck always and has apparently been left for dead from the developers ... So ;(

Did you quit?

Update May 2016: did you people quit on this app? Lame. Takes up a lot of space for what it does. Also, looks like the last two updates are the same. Seems lazy. Lastly, wheres the web app? Does one exist?

Dead app

All the promises have evaporated!

Sadly...

Great on iPad but impossible to download on my iPhone... So, its only half good. If I ever manage to get it, Ill add some more stars.

Lack of flexibility, and over complicated

While the general layout looks nice at first, with apparent integration with the calendar, the use of Gneo stays less intuitive than many other apps. Its also not flexible at all; exemple: I decompose my working days differently than Gneo propose me to do, and thus its quite tedious to have to set up myself schedules while there is an option for that. And a proof of the lack of flexibility is the emptiness of the setting, much more focus on Twitter and others than on improving the productivity capability of the app tailored for the user. Except many changes to make the presentation clearer, more compact sometimes, and the app more flexible to ones needs, this app is overpriced. PS: also need a clear explanation to the Evernote integration, sounding nice, but also tedious.

Greater than the competition

Beautiful, easy to use an perfect integration with Evernote. Thanks for having built the only to do app I want to go to... which is pretty useful to remind me to get things done!

Good but need web application

Good and intuitive but i really need a web app to édit my task on my computer

No review nagging

Thanks

Excelent

Great GTD app! Just needs minor fixes, mainly on the calendár features.

Calendar entry

Please enable an option to enable a calendar entry with exact end time and not standard 30 minutes...

Cool, but.....

The App is really cool. Adding and organizing tasks is easy and brillant. Also the Switch between the different views makes a lot of fun. BUT: To use it. for Business it is Not usable behause of the needed Account. No IT Department will allow to give IP Knowledge to such a cloud. And what I also so Not understand is Why I Need the Cloud Even of I do Not want to sync with any other App or device.

Very Usable ToDo Manager

I have tried many different ToDo apps over time, including google-tasks compatible ones and Things and Reminders. Most are either too simplistic (e.g. no tagging, no dates), or have a clumsy interace (Things...). Gneo allows fast input and fast managing of ToDo lists with many advanced GTD techniques such as scheduling, using folders and tagging as well as smart folders that filter out todos on a user specified set of rules. The interface is really slick and you can tell the developers put effort into finding the right default values and interface concepts to allow the user to see, create and manage their ToDos well. However, I have had one instance where sync between iPhone and iPad did not transfer a task. Since then everything went fine. Also, it would be nice to be able to edit/tag multiple tasks at once, because editing 10 tasks to add the same tag feels really tedious. Overall, I recomment Gneo to everyone who is into GTD.

Great idea ...

... but without keeping the format of the Evernote notes it is not of much use to me. However, keep up the good work!

Just works with an internet connection.

Calendar view just works with an internet connection. Sorry, but its a no-go!

Account??

For a calendar?? No Way!! Go ahead fool others. This create an Account for every sh**** is becoming ridiculous.

Good but still miss important features

Well, Gneo works great on iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air but i miss some Features. 1. Landscape-mode on my iPhone 6 Plus like on the iPad is missing - Screen is big enough ;-) 2. Shared notebooks. I miss the possibility to share the created notebooks with friends and workmates. Today collaboration is everything! 3. Subtask - hate creating hundreds of hundreds of tasks for only one project 4. Please make a OS X version of Gneo or a browser version (for what is that Gneo account if I dont have a Desktop-client?) iPhone and iPad could use iCloud too!! And some other features that could make Gneo one of the best apps. Creating Calender-Events directly from Gneo without creating a task. Adding Notes from Evernote to Tasks and files from dropbox and co! The opportunity to print or export a notebook as PDF-file is missing too. Well, thats all - please try to figure out how to make this features work because I really like Gneo. It looks good and it works really good too.

5 stars if font sitze to be zoomed

Excellent little tool for big achievments. Nice decend design and top score customer guidance. Id love have the text size adustable and the portait view fully supported - that would make it a 5* ...keep on gneo, you can do this (important, not urgent) regards

Bloatware

Any to Do was better than this over-featured app. To complicated. A to do app should be simple and quick. This is not!

Nice but room for improvement

Love the design and ease of use... Two things keeping this from a 5 star review. 1. No ability to sort in list view. Would be nice if completed tasks went to the bottom, and tasks sorted by urgency/importance 2. Customizable follow ups. Would be nice to be able to change it to 1hr, 1day, 7 days for example

Close, but not there

I love the layout and how it shows entries in the IOS calendar (and vice versa). They should change a couple things though: 1) have different views (ie monthly, daily, weekly) not just agenda view 2) have the ability to set a date without a time reminder. If I have tasks I want to do on Tuesday, I dont always want to assign times to them all but I dont just want to have then in a list if to-dos without a date either
