Gneo: To Do Task List and Calendar Manager App Reviews

Best task manager available

The approach to task management in this app is very compelling and useful. It wins, hands-down over the standard task manager, as well as other more advanced task managers, and Ive paid for and abandoned all of them. The problem is the implementation is buggy. Never-the-less the heart of the functionality, task scheduling, works well, enough to get my work done. On top of that, the user interface design is quite crude. In an era where iOS 7 and 8 are giving us some very beautiful apps, this particular application is just crudely designed. The application, flawed is it is, is still very useful to me and I am going to continue to use it in the hopes that the developers will improve it.

This app needs to be the number 1 in store

Its a great and easy way to organize tasks, and syncs easily with the best note app evernote as well as your calendar... The dream addition would be a desktop version, for much of my planning happens there... But I love its so far, keep the Developement up!!!

Deeply Flawed

I still think that Gneo has a lot of potential but it is too unreliable by a long shot. I was unlucky enough to download it this weekend when they were having sync problems. The customer support pretended there was no problem and when I persisted admitted that there was a problem with the server that was causing "a small number of people" to have difficulties syncing their Iphone with Ipad. Last night I thought they fixed the problem when tasks on the server came flooding back onto my devices. Again, syncing problems today. I lost all my tasks on Ipad for the third or fourth time this weekend. My advice is to wait a few months before trying this app. They may have worked the bugs out by then. But dont expect any customer support. You are on your own.

Easy to use & stay organized

I love how intuitive it is to use and the sleek, modern design. It makes logging and completing my to-dos much more easier and helps me stay organized in my professional and personal life.

Among the best

One of the best task managers. Calendar integration is a nice touch, and the Covey quadrant planner is the feature that really sets this app apart.

Nice features, but…

…way too basic for the price. The Covey-like quadrant view is nice. But this app isnt worth $.99, let alone $9.99.

Eh

Takes up a lot of space for what it does. Also, looks like the last two updates are the same. Seems lazy. Lastly, wheres the web app? Does one exist?

Waste of money

I thought this app was going to be different. It turned out to be a huge waste of money. I was expecting a calendar with task support, what I got was a task manager and a poor calendar. I couldnt even get it to work with my Apple Watch. Dont waste your money.

Nearly Perfect

Adding Team collaboration and emailing capabilities (bi-directional), would complete this app.

Wonderful!

I have been using Gneo for a while and think its great for productivity. Will there be a Mac app? Will you keep improving Gneo? There hasnt been an update or any info on where Gneo is headed. Keep up the great work!

Good but deal breaker cons

Really really well done task management app I love the UI with this app everything just flows when your in it, Creating folders keep projects organized and the franklin covey "important/not important" type quadrant is a nice cherry on top. I also love the way they used the "follow up" tool that alone makes me so much more productive along with many other features this app offers. However I do have some issues with this app that prevent me from using it and recommending it: - super glitchy badge icons dont always work - sync between iPad and iPhone doesnt work I lost all my tasks I manually put it and more importantly the time it took me to do that - very slow response by developers if any response at all - can sometimes lose track of tasks if not all dated and you have a big list of tasks (I dont feel like I have everything in front of me) - I didnt like that I had to make an account but that aside, I need the option to be able to sync manually. This thing automatically syncs with every new task and it uses cellular data if not connected to wifi. its distracting and unnecessary in my opinion. - The number of tasks icon doesnt appear on the app (home screen view) until the time youve set your task to alarm, so when you wake up early you might not know how busy your day really is, I think it should appear on the app at midnight and alarm at your pre set time. - Notes falls below keyboard- Very annoying, when you open a task and add notes to it, at a certain point your notes disappear behind the keyboard so you can see what your writing. Really hope you consider fixing these things because I would love to use this ,app until then I cant use it and I dont recommend to anyone

Stick with it

It has a bit of a learning curve, but its well worth the effort. Remember search is your friend.

No Mac Support

I really like the app. It works flawlessly, and the follow up feature keeps me focused on the tasks I need to do right now. As an app, it checks all the boxes: notification center support, apple watch support, everything to make it easy to use… except one. There is no web app or mac app to sync to. The developers said they were working on a Mac app over a year ago, but there hasn’t been much word since. Now that I have a mac, I will probably stop using this app in search of something I can access on both devices. It’s a shame, I really love this app. The follow up feature alone was enough to make me buy it

Needs Mac App

Without an app for the Mac, I’ll be changing to something that works with Mac.

If only....

Gneo Team- I love your app as a task management tool it fills all of my needs and I have checked with just about all them. Unfortunately because there is no way to access the app on anything but an iPhone it will not meet my needs going forward. Please consider adding a browser plug-in or a basic web accessible platform. Without it , I am gone But with it, I change my review to 5 Stars and remain a loyal and premium account user. The choice is yours. Dont let me down. Chris

Unable To Create Repeated Tasks

Actually I love the app, but I can’t believe that it’s impossible to create repeating tasks on Gneo, it’s just not supported, so I have to waste a hell lot of time creating tasks daily. I’m sure to give a 5-star rating as long as developers kindly add this must-have feature to Gneo like any other to-do list app already did.

Too much and too little

I really thought that Geno would be the one that I would fall in love with. However, it has a strange combination of too many features and too few. For instance, the incorporation of the Eisenhower matrix for prioritization is a wonderful feature and yet, Something that I found I dont actually use. Also, it takes way too long to create a task, and it takes too long how to learn to use the application. As others have mentioned, the fact that you cant use it on the Mac is a significant handicap is well. What Ive actually ended up using is Swipes, which while simpler than Gneo, is actually something that I find myself able to use consistently.

Please support for repeated tasks

I purchased this app to manages my new years resolutions such as being healthy. "Being healthy" is composed of a couple of daily to dos like eating breakfast, walking at least 30 minutes, eating dinner lite. I want to make it those daily repeated tasks, and even get daily score calculated by how many tasks I get to be done for the day. Please support for repeated tasks and achievement measures. Thank you! Hope your great 2016.

Good app

Solid to-do app some good and unusual features--my favorite is the Follow-up (hide option). Uses a lot of gesture-based commands, which are fun to do and hide some of the complexity of the app. The ability to change font size and give colors to lists would be helpful. I cant tell if the location reminder setting is working. Eventually I will need a Mac or browser-based version as well. Id like to be able to add icons to tasks or lists as well.

Abandoned?

So much promise. So many cool things. But no updates in almost a year?
