Gneo: To Do Task List and Calendar Manager App Reviews

Excellent

Excellent take on task management. Very well laid out. Uses principles from habits of highly effective people by organizing tasks into four quadrants. Important, urgent, not urgent, and not important.

Doesnt access Reminders

Very pretty, and an interesting sorting arrangement for your tasks. But unless I can import a large number of assorted tasks from Reminders without a tedious workaround, well, it aint happening. Sorry. Its quite wonderful, but it doesnt make breaking away from an established, yet inadequate workflow easy.

Very good app!

If it can also integrate with emails then it would be perfect. It could replace email, calendar and to do apps all at same time

Fairly straightforward and powerful.

I love this app!

Hmmmm

Yes it took a couple of hours to figure it out. I noticed sometimes repeats dont always show up. Also I put in a repeat for once a month, the task info shows it a appearing every 2 weeks and it didnt repeat in the calendar. Id like more control over having my calendar appointments sync with the app. I did not find a place to check for helpful suggestions within the app. So I couldnt figure out how to sync with my Evernote. Also a bit miffed two days after paying 4.99 for the app I noticed it dropped to 1.99. I like the priority quadrants but cant figure out why my tasks dont show up in it.

Just what Ive been looking for

Ive tried many different to-do apps, but this one finally has what I need. Simple, fast, flexible, and integrates with Evernote and Calendar. I would like to see some ability to add a colour dimension - even if its faint & transparent. I find that colour works well for what other apps call context.

Looks good!

Wish it could replace the native calendar app though. But great job nonetheless.

So much potential...

This app has the potential to be my go to "to do" app - unfortunately the lack of access to the reminders app limits the experience.

Some sync problems on startup

Not sure how vendor handles sync.... I had problems with using ipad and iPhone versions to one evernote account (these wre not conflicts at evernote side but rather seemed to be GNEO sync routine) .... I had to delete everything, and reset through GNEO, but finally only got it to work when I deleted the app, then deleted GNEO stack from evernote, then I Created my own GNEO stack on evernote, and finally reinstalled GNEO... waiting for a bit before trying again from iPhone in parallel, but at least it works as advertised now from iPad

Is it just me or...

Is it just me that experiences this? When I set a reminder to 12 am, it shows 12 pm, and when I set it to 12 pm, it shows 12 am.

Wicked App

Seriously best productivity app out there

The most effective Task list manager bar none!

Ive been a student of Covey and other effectiveness techniques but for the first time found a Task Management app that I absolutely love! The solid integration with Evernote was a huge plus for me and allowed inter operability with my existing note taking and tagging system. I was immediately impressed by the intuitive layout and how quickly I could start using it in me professional life as a Project Consultant. If you like Evernote, task lists and know the value of effective time management this app is for you!

Very good, but with one crucial shortcoming

Gneo is well designed and I could see myself switching to it *if* it integrated iOS (or Outlook Exchange) tasks into its task list (and Forecast and Work Canvas) like it does Calendar. Until then, the app is incomplete for any professional.

Great

Love it. Great integration with the calendar.

Wonderful app!

Im so satisfied, and so glad that I downloaded this! It is, by far, the best productivity app Ive ever encountered. Beautiful interface, easy-to-understand and use, and, overall a very charming app. :)

Feature request

Great app. Love the ability to be able to drag and drop to rearrange items. Please add the following functionalities: 1. Countdown remaining days until due date/reminder date for each task 2. Somehow add a calendar view by month to the forecast page (the one that shows all items from the Calendar). Right now that page seems to just list days that have items/tasks. I cant picture how the work will be distributed on a consistent timeline.

Amazing, except for one major flaw

This app is great. Good design, easy to use. But its missing the most important thing in a to do list: deadlines! I need to see when things are due, and have it highlight tasks with deadlines in the past. As it is, this app would be great for keeping track of chores at home, but is not much use for me at work.

A little confusing for a new person to use

I would appreciate a link from within the app to the website that shows how to videos

Cant delete calendar events

Even though Facebook/birthdays is hidden on my calendar they ALL show up in the app. Rendering the calendar useless as its filled with a million things. I tried resetting, disabled Facebook, reset the app, made a new account. Still all these events and birthdays are still there. Sent an email, got no response from support. There also should be how to videos.....

Wished Evernote sync was more seamless (not fault of Gneo)

I like the Design and interactions however the sync with Evernote is not optimal. since Evernote uses its own markup language, as Gneos excellent support rep told me. Unfortunately this markup language does not support text formatting, and after syncing to Gneo and then syncing back to Evernote, my formatting of my notes have gone wacky and had to restore from history in Evernote. Also, when I moved an existing notebook into the Gneo stack, the notes in the moved notebook doesnt show in Gneo because its missing a "changed" flag that Evernote did not set on move. I really wanted Gneo to work with Evernote, as I manage everything there, but its not as seamless as I hoped it would be. If youre not reliant on Evernote syncing then this is a great app to try in your workflow. Thanks for the support Anja from Gneo.
